The Principles of Community Partnership: Families are key to children’s success, Communities are supports for families, Good schools, supports and service build strong communities, and Economic vitality of a community is essential for good schools supports and services.
There are 20 Community Partnerships in Missouri. Washington County Community Partnership is your local Partnership.
WCCP was established in 1997. A group of social service and hospital workers began a monthly lunch meeting to identify gaps in social services. They built a partnership to streamline services and avoid duplication. In 1999, the Partnership was incorporated and has been a 501(c)3 and designated as a Caring Community site since then. Of the 20 Community Partnerships that currently exist in the state of Missouri, WCCP was one of the last three to be funded to provide assessments, local capacity development and leverage resources. WCCP continues to better the quality of life for local children and their families by providing needed services, promoting awareness of community strengths and needs and collaborating with local organizations to make a positive difference.
To promote community strengths and needs while working together to make a positive difference.
